Magnetic equivalent circuit and finite element modelling of anisotropic rotor axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motors with fractional slot distributed winding

Axial flux motors have been in the focus of many research work due to their promising properties when compared conventional radial machines. permanent magnet synchronous (AFPMSM) studied literature were mostly limited surface-mounted machines (SPMSM), excluding only a few studies about axial internal (AFIPM) or magnet-assisted reluctance (AFPMaSynRM) Since numerous rotor topologies proposed and investigated case motors, analogous design methodologies can be developed with saliency. The parametrisation modelling magnetically anisotropic motor are presented. This approach is described generally method applied an example geometry. results validated by FEA (Finite Element Analysis), using 2D multi-slice 3D approaches. error was calculated analytical numerical methods compared. It found that model suitable for calculating important parameters (AnR-AFPMSM) during process.
